GERMANTOWN, Wis. (WAUK) – As Wisconsin’s April 1 Supreme Court election nears, both campaigns are ramping up efforts to mobilize voters.
Conservative candidate Brad Schimel will attend a “Save Wisconsin Rally” Friday at Bub’s Irish Pub in Germantown, joined by Rep. Scott Fitzgerald, State Sen. Dan Feyen and Rep. Rick Gundrum. The event aims to energize supporters for the final push before Election Day.
Meanwhile, a coalition of grassroots organizations plans a demonstration outside the rally to oppose Schimel’s campaign and Fitzgerald’s congressional actions. They’ll be set up near the corner of Park Ave and Main St in Germantown.
Liberal candidate Susan Crawford, a Dane County Circuit Court judge, continues her campaign focused on protecting voting rights and reproductive freedoms.
Voters can cast ballots in person on Election Day Tuesday or during the early voting period, which runs through March 30. Check with your local clerk for the timeframe in your community. Voting information can be found at My Vote WI website.
The winner will serve a 10-year term on the state’s highest court.
