MILWAUKEE, Wis. (Civic Media) — Vice President Kamala Harris is set to hold a rally in Milwaukee next Tuesday, coinciding with the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
According to a New York Times report, the Harris campaign is negotiating to host the event at Fiserv Forum, though the venue agreement is not yet finalized. It’s also not known whether Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is be in the Brew City.
The Milwaukee rally is expected to precede prime-time speeches in Chicago, where former President Barack Obama is scheduled to be the main speaker of the evening. Fiserv Forum, which is about 80 miles from Chicago’s United Center, was recently the site where former President Donald Trump accepted the GOP’s nomination.
Harris has been actively engaging with voters in Wisconsin, having previously spoken in West Allis and Eau Claire.
Republican Vice Presidential nominee JD Vance will also make his presence felt in Milwaukee soon, speaking at the Milwaukee Police Association headquarters Friday.
