Today, Todd joins us live from Governor Nelson State Park to celebrate the 55th anniversary of Earth Day. Wisconsin’s own former Governor Gaylord Nelson founded Earth Day in 1970. Today, his daughter Tia Nelson, a fantastic conservationist in her own right, joins us to talk about the history of this holiday and what we can do to pitch in.

Also joining us are Park Manager Mike Ring and Drew Howick, President of Friends of Governor Nelson State Park. Head over to friendsofgovnelson.org to learn about this new advocacy organization.

At the bottom of the hour, former Republican State Senator Rob Cowles joins us to talk about the Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Program, another important part of what keeps our Wisconsin environments clean and healthy.
