Appleton honors area veterans May 26

Everyone is invited to the Veterans Memorial Ceremony to be held outside the Outagamie Veteran’s Memorial Building at 410 S. Walnut St. in Appleton, WI. at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026.

This event will be a silent homage processional. Organizers say the focus will be on the unveiling of the new plaques and names of those who gave their life in the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts.

There will be no speakers for this event, except for an introduction to the Ceremony and the reading of the names of the fallen.

The ceremony will be a procession of those attending who may render a salute to and or place a flower at the memorial, giving honor to those names being read throughout the ceremony. Bagpipes will be played during the procession. Taps and a rifle salute will signal the end of the ceremony.

The processional event is typically less than 45 minutes in length.
