
Iowa County OWI arrest – third offense
Iowa County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Zachary James Zradicka, 34, of Linden, following a high-speed traffic stop that resulted in charges of Operating While Intoxicated – Third Offense and Bail Jumping.
IOWA COUNTY, Wis (WRCO / WRCE) – A repeat OWI offender was arrested again in Iowa County. Sheriff Michael Peterson reports that the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Zachary James Zradicka, 34, of Linden, following a high-speed traffic stop.
The arrest took place Saturday, May 17, at approximately 3:20 p.m., when deputies observed a vehicle traveling at 102 miles per hour in a 65-mph zone on U.S. Highway 18/151 in the town of Brigham. The driver, identified as Zradicka, was pulled over by an Iowa County Deputy. Upon contact, deputies observed numerous empty beer cans inside the vehicle and detected the odor of intoxicants. After field sobriety testing, he was placed under arrest and transported to Iowa County Sheriff’s Jail without incident.
This marks Zradicka’s second OWI arrest in just over a month. On April 12, he was arrested by the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office for Operating While Intoxicated – third Offense, after being stopped for traveling 95 mph in a 55-mph zone and failing to stop at a stop sign. He was released on bond with the explicit condition not to operate a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
Zachary Zradicka now faces: Operating While Intoxicated – third Offense, a Misdemeanor, which if found guilty of the April 12, OWI, this would move to a fourth offense. This can’t be charged until found guilty of the prior offense. He also faces misdemeanor Bail Jumping. He posted a bond of $1,850 and is scheduled to appear in court on August 25.
