
Republican Cindi Duchow wins 97th Assembly District
The 97th Assembly District covers western Waukesha County and parts of eastern Jefferson County in southeastern Wisconsin.
WISCONSIN (Civic Media) – Incumbent Republican Cindi Duchow has been called the winner of the race for the 97th Assembly District in Wisconsin.
The Associated Press made the call Tuesday evening.
The Republican Party was favored in this district going into the election, according to CNalysis. The district was considered solid Republican with a projected margin of 35 points.
Duchow was first elected to the Assembly in 2015 in a special election. She was drawn out of the 99th Assembly District during legislative redistricting. Duchow serves on four committees and the Joint Legislative Council. She is a former Town of Delafield supervisor.
Nedweski defeated Democratic challenger Beth Leonard.
