GREEN BAY, Wis. (Civic Media) — Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer will lead a Harris-Walz “Fighting for Reproductive Freedom” bus tour in Wisconsin this weekend, with stops in Green Bay and Waukesha.
The tour, part of a national campaign effort, aims to highlight reproductive rights in the upcoming election. Whitmer is scheduled to speak at 10 a.m. on Saturday in Green Bay and at the same time Sunday in Waukesha.
The governor plans to criticize former President Donald Trump’s role in overturning Roe v. Wade and warn about potential further restrictions on reproductive rights under a second Trump term.
Meanwhile, Trump is set to hold a rally in Prairie du Chien on Saturday at 11:30 a.m., marking his second visit to western Wisconsin in recent weeks.
The dueling campaign events underscore Wisconsin’s importance as a battleground state in the 2024 presidential race.
The “Fighting for Reproductive Freedom” tour plans at least 50 stops nationwide, targeting both Democratic and Republican-leaning areas.
